Getting Started

How do I create an account?

1. Download Lifestonia from the App Store
2. Open the app and tap Sign Up
3. Enter your email address and create a password or Sign in with Apple or Google
4. Verify your email address (check your inbox for verification link)
5. Complete your profile (username, avatar – optional)

Note: You must be at least 17 years old to create an account.

1. On the login screen, tap Forgot Password?
2. Enter the email address associated with your account
3. Check your email for a password reset link
4. Click the link and create a new password
5. Log in with your new password

Didn’t receive the email? Check your spam folder or contact support@lifestonia.com

Yes! Log in with the same account on any iOS device. Your progress, purchases, and pref-erences sync automatically.
Supported devices:
  • iPhone (iOS 15.0 or later)
  • iPad (iOS 15.0 or later)
  • iPod touch (iOS 15.0 or later)
WARNING: Deleting your account is permanent. You will lose access to:
  • Premium subscriptions (no refunds)
  • Purchased collectibles
  • Reading progress and bookmarks
  • Profile and user data
To delete your account:
1. Open the app and go to Settings
2. Scroll to Account section.
3. Tap “Delete Account”
4. Confirm deletion

Alternatively, email support@lifestonia.com with your account email and we’ll process the deletion within 7 days

READING STORIES

How often are new stories released?
New stories are released every two weeks (bi-weekly).
Release Schedule:
  • Main story updates: Every other Tuesday (side stories may become main stories)
  • Side stories: Occasionally between main updates
  • Special releases: Announced via push notifications

Free Stories:
  • Main storyline following Cells journey
  • Core narrative and key events

Subscriptions are managed through Apple, not within the app.

To cancel:

4. Select Lifestonia
5. Tap Cancel Subscription
6. Confirm cancellation

Important:

  • You keep access until the end of your billing period
  • No refunds for unused time
  • You can resubscribe anytime
Refund Policy:
 
All subscription fees are non-refundable except:
  •  Within 48 hours of initial purchase if no content has been accessed
  • Where required by law
  • At our sole discretion in exceptional circumstances

Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade anytime.
 
Upgrading (e.g., Token Premium All-Access):
  • New subscription starts immediately
  • Old subscription is automatically cancelled
    Downgrading (e.g., Premium Token):
  • Keep current access until billing period ends
  • New subscription starts after current one expires
  • No refund for unused portion
Yes. All subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled.
 
Renewal Details:
  • Youll be charged 24 hours before the renewal date
  • Charged at the current subscription price (prices may change)
  • Renewal email sent to confirm
Cancel anytime before renewal to avoid being charged.
Not currently available. Were working on gift subscriptions for a future update.
 
Workaround: You can purchase a physical or digital gift card from the Shop and let the
recipient use it toward Premium.

How do I access the music library?

Free Users:

  • Access to 5-8 preview tracks
  • Can listen to featured music
  • 30-second previews of premium tracks

Premium/Music Token Users:

  • Full access to entire catalog (10+ tracks)
  • New releases added monthly
  • Early access to SPR premieres (coming soon)

To access: Tap Explore tab at the bottom of the app. Tap music.

Yes! Premium and Music Token subscribers can download tracks.
 
To download:
1. Go to Music section
2. Find the track you want
3. Tap the download icon (cloud with arrow)
4. Track downloads to your device
 
Note: Downloaded music is only playable within the app (DRM protected).

Yes! Music continues playing when:

  • You switch to another app
  • You lock your screen
  • You use other phone functions

Controls available:

  • Lock screen player controls
  • Control Center integration
  • AirPods/Bluetooth controls
New music is added monthly.

How do I use the map?

Map Features:

  • View all 7 quadrants of Lifestonia
  • See where stories take place
  • Understand city geography

Navigation:

  • Pinch to zoom in/out
  • Swipe to pan across the city
  • Tap markers for info (coming soon for premium subscribers)

3D Map (Coming Soon): A fully explorable 3D city is in development!

Lifestonia is divided into seven distinct regions:

1. Downtown: Business center, 87 housing projects, luxury hills
1. Eastside: Industrial terraced hillsides, 4 mega-projects, working-class communities
1. Westside: Industrial warehouses, prison complexes, fog-covered areas, poverty
1. Southwest: Maritime ports, transport hubs
1. South: International airport, cultural quarters, mixed development
1. Northeast: Elite universities, high-rise wealth, highest living standards

Each quadrant has unique culture, architecture, and gang dynamics.

The 87 housing projects (DH-1 through DH-87) are large public housing towers scattered throughout Downtown.
Key Details:
  • House approximately 850,000 residents
  • Controlled by various gangs (territorial conflicts)
  • Central to Cells story and many characters backgrounds
  • Each project has unique history and reputation
  • Many of Lifestonia’s best professional athletes hail from one of the DH projects
Featured Projects: DH-4, DH-33, DH-61, DH-87 appear prominently in stories.

COLLECTIBLES & SHOP

What are digital collectibles?

Digital collectibles are limited-edition virtual items including:

  • Character tokens
  • Event commemorations
  • Exclusive artwork
  • Participation badges

What they do:

  • Display on your profile
  • Unlock bonus content (stories, behind-the-scenes)
  • Show your status in the community
  • Can be traded in marketplace (coming soon)

Important: Collectibles are licensed, not sold. You dont own the underlying intellectual
property.

To buy collectibles:
 
1. Go to Shop tab
2. Navigate to Digital section
3. Browse available items
4. Tap item to see details
5. Tap Purchase
6. Confirm via Apple Pay or saved payment method
 
Limited Availability: Many collectibles are released in limited quantities (e.g., only 500
available). Once sold out, they may not be available again.

Marketplace coming soon!

User-to-user trading will be available in a future update. The marketplace will allow:

  • Listing collectibles for trade
  • Browsing other users listings
  • Completing secure trades
  • $1.99 marketplace fee on transactions

No Real-World Value: Collectibles cannot be sold for cash or real money outside the app.

Participation tokens are earned through monthly micro-transaction events

How it works:
 
1. A story features a participation moment (e.g., Buy Cell a drink”)
2. You pay a small amount ($0.99-$4.99)
3. Unlock an exclusive bonus story
4. Receive a collectible token
 
Collect all 12 in a year: Unlock a special Year 1 Supporter badge! This badge gains more and more access over the years
 
Optional: Participation is not required to enjoy main stories.
To order merch:

1. Go to Shop tab
2. Browse available items (apparel, posters, books, etc.)
3. Tap item to select size/options
4. Tap Add to Cart
5. Proceed to Checkout
6. Enter shipping address
7. Complete payment
Shipping:
  • US: 5-10 business days
  • International: 10-21 business days
  • Tracking provided via emai
Physical Merchandise:
 
Returns accepted within 30 days if:
  • Item is defective or damaged
  • Wrong item was shipped
  • Item is unused and in original packaging (for non-defective returns)

To initiate return: Email support@lifestonia.com with:

  • Order number
  • Photos of item/defect
  • Reason for return

Digital Products:
All digital sales (collectibles, e-books, music) are final and non-refundable.

Limited editions do not restock.
 
Once sold out, limited items are retired. This maintains their exclusivity and value.
 
However: We may release new limited editions with similar themes or designs in the future.

Stay Updated: Enable push notifications to be alerted when new limited drops become
available.

BILLING & PAYMENTS

What payment methods do you accept?

For Subscriptions & In-App Purchases:

  • Apple Pay
  • Credit/Debit cards (via Apple)

For Physical Merchandise:

All payments are processed securely through Apple and our payment partners. We do
not store your full payment information.

Well resolve within 24-48 hours.

Payment methods are managed through Apple, not within the app.

To update payment:
1. Open iPhone Settings
2. Tap your name at the top
3. Tap Payment & Shipping
4. Update credit card or add new payment method

Changes apply to all future App Store purchases, including Lifestonia subscriptions.

Subscriptions auto-renew by default unless cancelled before the renewal date.
 
To prevent future renewals:
1. Open iPhone Settings
2. Tap your name
3. Tap Subscriptions
4. Select Lifestonia
5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Note: Cancelling after renewal doesnt refund that charge, but prevents future renewals.
Apple automatically emails receipts to your Apple ID email address.
 
To find receipts:
1. Check your email inbox for Receipt from Apple
1. Or visit [reportaproblem.apple.com](http://reportaproblem.apple.com)
2. Sign in with your Apple ID
3. View purchase history
 
Need a receipt resent? Contact Apple Support directly.
Common reasons for declined payments:
  • Insufficient funds
  • Expired credit card
  • Billing address mismatch
  • Bank fraud protection

To resolve:

  • Verify payment method is valid and has sufficient funds
  • Update payment method in Apple Settings
  • Contact your bank if fraud protection triggered
  • Try a different payment method

If issues persist, contact Apple Support for payment troubleshooting.

TECHNICAL ISSUES

App crashes when I open it.
Try these solutions in order:
 
1. Force close and reopen:
  • Swipe up from bottom (iPhone X+) or double-click Home button
  • Swipe Lifestonia app up to close
  • Reopen app
2. Restart your device:
  • Power off iPhone completely
  • Wait 30 seconds
  • Power back on
  • 3. Check for app updates:
  • Open App Store
  • Tap your profile icon (top right)
  • Scroll to Lifestonia
  • TapUpdate”if available

4. Check for iOS updates:

  • Settings General Software Update
  • Install if update available
5. Reinstall the app:
  • Delete Lifestonia app
  • Restart device
  • Reinstall from App Store
  • Log back in

Still crashing? Email contact@lifestonia.com with:

  • “Bugs” in the subject line
  • iPhone model
  • iOS version
  • App version
  • When crash occurs (on launch, during specific action, etc.)
Check your internet connection:
 
1. Ensure youre connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data
2. Try loading a website in Safari to confirm internet works
3. Toggle Airplane Mode on/off
 
Try a different network:
  • Switch from Wi-Fi to cellular (or vice versa)
  • Try a different Wi-Fi network

Clear app cache:

1. Go to Settings Lifestonia
2. Tap Clear Cache
3. Reopen app

Reinstall app as a last resort (see App crashes above).

Solutions:

1. Ensure iOS is updated to latest version
2. Close other apps running in background
3. Restart the app
4. Try playing video on Wi-Fi instead of cellular
5. Check device storage (low storage can cause playback issues)

Fullscreen mode issues:

  • Double-tap video to enter/exit fullscreen
  • Use fullscreen button (top right of player)
  • Swipe down to exit fullscreen
Forgot password:
 
1. Tap Forgot Password? on login screen
2. Enter your email
3. Check email for reset link
4. Create new password
 
Incorrect email or password” error:
  • Double-check email address (typos common)
  • Ensure password is correct (case-sensitive)
  • Reset password if unsure
Account locked message:

Your account may be temporarily locked due to multiple failed login attempts or Terms
of Service violations

Performance tips:
 
Close background apps: Swipe up and close unused apps
Restart device: Power off and back on
Free up storage:
  • Settings General iPhone Storage
  • Delete unused apps/photos
  • Aim for at least 1GB free space

Update iOS: Settings General Software Update
Update app: Check App Store for Lifestonia updates
Reduce motion: Settings Accessibility Motion Reduce Motion (ON)

Battery optimization tips:

Close app when not in use: Don’t leave it running in background unnecessarily
Reduce screen brightness: Especially when reading stories
Disable background app refresh:
  • Settings General Background App Refresh
  • Turn off for Lifestonia (or all apps)
Download content for offline: Streaming uses more battery than playing cached content
Enable Low Power Mode: Settings Battery Low Power Mode

Note: Video and music playback naturally consume more battery than reading text.
Progress is saved to your account and should sync across devices.

To restore:

Ensure youre logged into the correct account
Check internet connection
Force close and reopen app
Go to Settings Tap Sync Account
If progress is still missing:

Email support@lifestonia.com with:
  • Account email
  • What progress was lost
  • When you last saw the progress

We may be able to restore from backups.

Enable notifications:

1. Open iPhone Settings
2. Scroll to Lifestonia
3. Tap Notifications
4. Toggle Allow Notifications ON
5. Choose notification style (Banners, Sounds, Badges)

ACCOUNT & PRIVACY

Is my data safe?
Yes. We take privacy and security seriously.

What we do:
  • Use secure authentication systems
  • Never sell your personal information
  • Comply with privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

What we collect:

  • Account info (email, username)
  • Usage data (stories read, features used)
  • Device info (model, OS version)
  • Payment info (processed by Apple/third parties, not stored by us)

To change username:
 
1. Go to Profile
2. Tap Edit Profile
3. Change username
4. Tap Save”
 
Restrictions:
  • Must be unique (not taken by another user)
  • 3-20 characters
  • Letters, numbers, underscores only
  • No offensive or inappropriate names

To update email:

1. Go to Profile Settings
2. Tap Account
3. Tap Email Address”
4. Enter new email
5. Verify new email (check inbox for confirmation link)

Important: Use your new email for future logins.

Currently, all profiles are public (visible to other users in forums and community features).
 
Whats visible:
  • Username
  • Avatar
  • Badges and collectibles (if you choose to display)
  • Forum posts and activity

What’s private:

  • Email address
  • Payment information
  • Reading history
  • Private messages (when feature launches)

Privacy settings coming: Future updates will allow more control over profile visibility.

Blocking (coming with forum launch):
 
1. Go to the users profile
2. Tap the menu icon (three dots)
3. Tap Block User
4. Confirm
 
What blocking does:
  • You wont see their posts or messages
  • They cant send you direct messages
  • They wont see your forum posts (youre hidden from them)

To unblock: Go to Settings Blocked Users Tap Unblock

When you delete your account:
  • Account and personal info permanently deleted within 7-30 days
  • Forum posts may remain but will show [Deleted User] as author
  • Purchase history retained for legal/tax purposes (not linked to your identity)
  • Some data retained in anonymized form for analytics

What you lose:

  • Access to premium subscription (no refunds)
  • All purchased collectibles
  • Reading progress and bookmarks
  • Profile, badges, and reputation

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

COMMUNITY & SAFETY (COMING SOON)

How do I access the forum?
Forum access requires:
  • Premium All-Access subscription, OR
  • Community Pass token, OR
  • High engagement status (earned through app activity)

Forum launch: Expected in 36 months. Premium subscribers will be notified first.

Our Community Guidelines require:
  • Respect for all users
  • No harassment, hate speech, or bullying
  • No spam or self-promotion
  • Stay on topic in forum sections
  • No illegal content
  • Constructive criticism only

Violations result in: Warnings Temporary bans Permanent bans

To report forum posts or users:

1. Tap the menu icon (three dots) on the post/profile
2. Tap Report
3. Select reason (harassment, spam, hate speech, etc.)
4. Provide details (optional)
5. Submit report
